El Paso’s military community plays a vital role in the growth and development of the desert Southwest.  Fort Bliss (the nation’s largest military base), Holloman Air Force Base and White Sands Missile Range are a social and economic powerhouse in the region.  Fort Bliss military installation currently contributes approximately 1.7 billion to the local economy and is scheduled to increase in size in the upcoming years guaranteeing El Paso a prosperous and bright future.
